“Gloria in excelsis Deo” is Latin for Glory in the highest to God. It’s what the angels sang to the shepherds announcing Jesus’ birth. It declares that the highest display of God’s glory is neither the complexity of the cosmos, nor the preeminence of His power. The highest display of God’s glory was His willingness to enter this world in humility and poverty, to live a life of ministry and adversity, and to die a death of agony and ignominy – all driven by His love for me.I hope this rendition of this Christmas classic reminds you of that incredible love this season.
